The documents within this research compendium were prepared and submitted to the Transportation Research Board 97th Annual Meeting a five-day conference that took place from January 7 – 11, 2018 in in Washington D.C. The board was established in 1920 as the National Advisory Board on Highway Research to provide a mechanism for the exchange of information and research results about highway technology. Renamed to TRB in 1974, TRB’s portfolio of services expanded significantly and began conducting studies of national transportation policy issues and more.
The research compendium also presents each paper as delivered at the conference by researchers, academics, and professionals around the world. Submitted in response to an international call for papers, the accepted papers present a wide range investigation of key issues related to the transportation and mobility industry.
As the world’s leading provider of traffic solutions, PTV Group is proud to contribute to nearly 200 research papers submitted to this year’s TRB. Among this year’s popular topics include Mobility as a Service, Connected and Automated Vehicles, crash prediction, simulation and many others.
